BetaBasic 18 Columns
An excellent first choice for HPLC methods: rugged, reliable, extended pH range
BetaBasic® 18 columns are based on 150Å pore size, fully deactivated pure silica to ensure sharp peaks and excellent reproducibility. Their stable bonding chemistry and excellent surface coverage gives the columns exceptional low and high pH stability.
BetaBasic 18 capillary columns are available in KAPPATM capillary columns are ideal for LC/MS.
High efficiency KAPPA columns are available in 0.50mm, 0.32mm, 0.18mm and 0.100µm ID capillaries, and have an 8th inch stainless steel sleeve around the capillary to make them very robust for day-to-day laboratory use. They also have standard steel female endfittings, and so they can be used with standard column connectors.
BetaBasic 18 capillary columns provide excellent chromatography for basic compounds at high pH, which allows for a wide choice of buffer selection in LC/MS applications.

Due to stable bonding chemistry and excellent surface coverage, the columns exhibit exceptional low pH stability compared to other cyano phases. BetaBasic CN columns offer 'alternative' selectivity due to dipole-dipole and dipole-induced dipole interactions, and can be used in normal or reversed phase separations. They show excellent peak shape for basic compounds and are a good first choice for compounds typically considered difficult to analyze. BetaBasic CN columns can be used in normal or reversed phase modes.

BioBasic SEC (Size Exclusion) Columns

BioBasic SEC columns are available in four pore sizes (60, 120, 300 and 1000Å) to cater for separations of samples from 100 to 10,000,000 molecular weight. The columns are based on porous silica particles coated with with a hydrophillic polymer for superior column lifetimes. They give superior resolution with 100% aqueous or organic eluents, and do not swell or shrink with changes in solvent, showing higher peak capacityies than polymer-based SEC columns. The polymer coating eliminates secondary interactions so that samples are separated based stricly on their size in solution.
BioBasic SEC columns are ideal for high efficiency gel filtration separation of proteins and other biological molecules where the absence of secondary interactions such as adsorption, is essential for accurate analysis.
The columns are offered in a standard 300 x 7.8mm size, and also 150 x 7.8mm for faster separations, as well as a 30mm length guard column to maximize column lifetimes.
