Toyopearl Butyl-600 resin has the second highest hydrophobicity of the HIC ligands offered by TBL. Its pore size is between that of Toyopearl Butyl-650 and Toyopearl SuperButyl-550 media. It has been optimized for the purification of monoclonal antibodies and is typically used as an intermediate purification or polishing step.

Toyopearl Ether-650 resin has the highest hydrophilicity of the HIC ligands offered by TBL. It is useful for very hydrophobic molecules such as membrane proteins. It is typically used in intermediate purification and polishing steps. For high performance separations, the use of TSKgel Ether-5PW media is suggested. Both products have the same selectivity.

Toyopearl Phenyl-600 resin has the middle hydrophobicity of the five HIC ligands offered by TBL. Its pore size has been optimized for the chromatography of monoclonal antibodies and it is typically used in an intermediate or polishing step.

It is a very high recovery and high dynamic capacity resin for both large and small proteins. When used as the polishing step up to an extra 5% yield may be seen compared to other Phenyl resins.
